COMMUNITY SOLAR STORE OPENS IN CAMDEN, NJ
(Camden, N.J.) Community Solar Circle LLC opens its first Community Solar “store” in Camden at the beginning of 2023 to subscribe customers to New Jersey’s new Community Solar program. Other stores are in the works in communities across New Jersey.
The store, located at 800 Market Street, will provide customers with educational information on the new Community Solar program, such as typical savings per month and how easy it is to subscribe. Customers who join will save money, go green, and support local non-profits with donations that the company will make for each subscription.
Community solar is an inclusive concept that allows all households to save money and participate in the green energy movement without purchasing and maintaining expensive rooftop systems. By subscribing to a community solar project, you receive a portion of the electricity produced from a local solar project. This is open to all residential and commercial customers, including renters, homeowners, and business owners.
“The Community solar program is easy to subscribe to, it is free sign up, and you can cancel at any time with no fees. Our hope is that New Jersey’s program will match other states and offer early birds the best opportunity to save the most money, because in other states the early subscribers saved the most,” said Stephen Renz, President of Community Solar Circle.
“It’s a great way to save money, typically 20% or more, go green, and support the local community – and we are delighted to open our first store in Camden, N.J., a great city,” said Renz. “This store is the first brick-and-mortar location of this sort in New Jersey. We are proud to be the first subscriber organization dedicated to serving Camden City and all New Jersey residents. We put equal importance on creating good paying jobs for the communities we serve because we want to be a part of the New Jersey community solar success story,” said Renz.
